Legend of the Stone Mantis

A long, long time ago the people lived in peace and happiness in the world. Led by Jinghu, the last Stone Mantis on earth, they had learned to live in harmony with each other and with nature. They were satisfied with what they had and helped each other whenever it was needed, because they lived by the ways of the Stone Mantis.

But somewhere hidden in the shadows lived Terrence, the evil sorcerer. His heart was filled with jealousy and envy towards those living in joy and happiness. Many times he tried to spread his wickedness throughout the world, but to no avail. Each time Jinghu, the last Stone Mantis on earth, succeeded in forcing the evil sorcerer back into the shadows. He was the only one who could restrain Terrence.

When Jinghu breathed his last there was nothing holding Terrence back from conquering the world and shrouding it in darkness. He created a chaos and division thus far unknown to mankind. He crowned himself ruler of the darkness and made even the smallest creature on earth his servant.

Four young men, Bob, Koen, Yorrick and Frank, were determined not to succumb to the evil sorcerer's new rule. They fled to the dark recesses of the swamps, where they stayed hidden for years. One day they met Bas, sitting on a rock in the swamp and playing the bass guitar. He was the sole remaining follower of Jinghu, the last Stone Mantis on earth. Bas introduced the four to the ways of the Stone Mantis and showed them how Rock 'n Roll can restore the balance in the world. The five young men made a pact. They decided to return to the world to show everyone that there is an alternative to living in darkness and that Rock 'n Roll is the weapon to drive Terrence, the evil sorcerer, back into the shadows and bring back harmony to the world.
