Needs:

I am looking for an unique logo that depicts the uniqueness of my concept but clearly tells the melancholy of past days (see "Company description). The logo needs to be directly recognisable so it needs to be modern and simple yet authentic (see 'colours, favourite logo's, must haves'). I like to see a unique combination of modern times and past times. I want to use the logo for external communication, therefore it needs to appear solid and trustworthy. The logo needs to be glamorous.

Company description:

WYS is a new food supermarket concept that aims to conserve cultural immaterial heritage by offering traditional, artisanal products made by genuine artisans. A key word to the products offered is ‘respectful’: WYS believes that what nature provides us with should be treated with respect by using everything it has to give. It also means that we should respect nature by using, where possible, local rather than foreign products. In this way, we are doing the right thing for both the environment as for local economies (respectfully dealing with suppliers by paying the right price).

At the same time, the supply chain has become not only shortened but also more transparent. Key to the continuous success of the company is the way building blocks are organised: artisans will have to work together to establish their individual products. Every artisan’s cooperation is required to guarantee fresh products on a daily basis, making WYS a success. One for all and all for one. Using traditional, regional and seasonal products is essential to WYS. Consumers will be educated in how to use and prepare these traditional, perhaps even yet to rediscover products through demonstrations, sampling and workshops.

The quote “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food" is a red thread throughout the concept.

Target group:

Men and women aged 25-40: recently graduated and/or are starting a family. They are very aware of health and our influence on the environment and want to limit this as much as possible.

Colors, favourites and other requirements

First what I am absolute NOT looking for:
- No industrial look
- No Stamp-like logo
- No dime in a dozen ogo
- No simple supermarket logo --> I am looking for a glamourous and high-end sophisticated yet approachable for many ( (lower)middle class and high class)

What I am DEFINITELY looking for:
- Golden hands (artisanal work = golden hands) who are joined
- The name, WYS, preferably in Azure (Like the Histor colour: Azuur S 2555-B20G or Mythe S 3060-B20G. Flexa 'Trouw' GN 010-02)
- The color aubergine like the Flexa CREATIONS collectie 'Royal Intrigue 3037'
- The name of the company, WYS, needs to be centrale (together with the golden hands) in the logo
- Preferably, the logo is based on historical guild signs. But remember to keep it modern, simple and recognisable!

Optional:
- Golden hands holding cutlery together handen die gezamenlijk bestek vasthouden.
- Bruin (metallic) en/of koper in de achtergrond of ergens anders in verwerken.
