Company name: Aratoro
Type of business: coaching of (highly) gifted children, teens and young adults, as well as their parents, training students in problem solving abilities
Explanation of the company name:
Aratoro: "ara" is Maori (the indigenous language of the original inhabitants of New Zealand) for road or path;
"toro" is Maori for discovery
so full meaning of the name is: path of discovery
Clients: (highly) gifted children, teens, young adults and their parents
The people I would like to help are often not able to function in a regular school setting. They often stay at home or are drop outs of the regular system, just because they do not fit in. They are in need of tools and tips to make the most use of their abilities. I want them to equip them as much as possible so they can use the school system to their own advantage and needs.
My own path of discovery started in New Zealand and my goal is to help my clients further along their own path. My purpose is to help them to discover and use their own abilities in a better way.
Logo /style suggestions:
Logo: my own ideas are a path, a mountain or a mountain trail. For me this is a metaphor: climbing together along the (sometimes) difficult path, its a challenge, but the goal (the view, the accomplishment) is worth all the effort.

Beste Alwin,
Bij deze mijn inbreng in het teken van hoogbegaafdheid.
Oranje is energie, vitaliteit, kracht, blijdschap, creativiteit, motivatie, optimisme en een algeheel gevoel van welzijn
Geel is ook energie, maar staat voor mij ook voor de zon, het lichtpuntje dat staat voor hoogbegaafdheid.
Beide logo's zijn ontworpen op basis van lijnen met in gedachte: de lijnen van Maori kunst, en paden/wegen.
Ontdekking
Bij de vogel is de ontdekking "wat is dat voor vogel"? en het vliegen staat voor mij ook als ontdekking.
De driehoek is niet alleen een berg, de lijnen erin verwerkt staan ook voor een bos. Hoe vinden we de weg door het bos.
Ten slotte heb ik een hightech lettertype gebruikt, het woord zegt het al. In combinatie met de speelsheid van het logo hoop ik dat we hiermee de doelgroep raken.
