Needs:

The Regional Archive of South Utrecht (Regionaal Archief Zuid-Utrecht, RAZU) is looking for a modern yet classic logo with a calm appearance. We want to see the abbreviation RAZU prominently to the fore within the Logo.
The logo will be used in all our communications and placed on the facade of our vault (see Appendix 2). In addition, the logo will be prominently displayed on our new (yet to be developed) website. It must match our sand-yellow color (code # c2b280). The color may, but does not have to, be incorporated in the logo. We also want to place the logo on (historical) photos from our image gallery, as so to bring our rich collection to life. Thus, make sure that the logo is clearly visible if it is placed on a 'busy' background.
Also make sure that you take color blindness into account when designing your logo and that the logo can also be clearly distinguished in black and white.

Although a historical context or 'feel' is highly appreciated, we do not want a logo that consists of one, or a limited number of, unique buildings or events of our participants. The logo must feel recognizable for all participating municipalities, not just the ones featured in a logo.

In appendix 1 you will find the color code, in appendix 2 you will find a number of photos of our archive vault. In appendix 3 you will find an overview of our working area.

Company description:

The RAZU is the archive of the municipalities of Bunnik, Houten, Rhenen, Utrechtse Heuvelrug, Vijfheerenlanden and Wijk bij Duurstede. We manage several kilometers of government archives, dating back to 1300 (CE). In addition, we have several very rich private archives in our care. We are increasingly disclosing our archives digitally and we now have tens of thousands of digitized photos and newspapers available on our website.
