The car technician of the future and commercial car technician of the future competitions are fairly well-known to students of car and commercial car engineering. In the coming years, the organizer, trade magazine AMT, wants to further develop the reputation. Competitions must become a household name in education.
For that, the brand is looking for a new identity. The competitions will be integrated from next year. One logo must cover both leagues. That makes communication to students, teachers, schools and anyone interested in the car profession a lot easier.
Requirements that thenew logo ideally meets:
• Both competitions integrated in one logo;
• Recognizable for car and commercial car technicians (car and truck mechanics);
• Limited timeless, logo should not look outdated in five years;
• Can be used multimedia;
• Can be used in color as well as (photocopied) black and white
• Matches the look of the AMT brand (but could be more modern)

N.a.v. feedback (waarvoor dank) het logo aangepast. Bij deze ook de uitbeelding dat men nu meer de computer gebruikt. Tevens tekst op een andere manier verwoord.

Description by designer Margriet Pronk:
Ik heb gekozen om enkel het logo te maken. Dat lijkt mij duidelijker zonder de tekst. Ik heb geprobeerd om de mens centraal te plaatsen. In het logo zitten ook een A en T verwerkt. Ik zou een terugkoppeling zeer op prijs stellen om daar weer van te leren.

Je unieke benadering - kijk maar naar de andere inzendingen - waardeer ik persoonlijk. Voor de competitie is het resultaat waarschijnlijk iets minder geschikt, al overleg ik dit natuurlijk nog met de collega's.
De (bedrijfs)autotechnicus van de toekomst zal namelijk steeds minder vaak écht onder de motorkap werken. De gestileerde A en T zie ik, maar zijn waarschijnlijk te weinig expliciet om ook bij de deelnemers aan de competitie op te vallen.
Dat je ervoor gekozen hebt om alleen het logo te maken begrijp ik goed, maar het vertalen van de vervelend lange combinatie'Autotechnicus en Bedrijfsautotechnicus van de Toekomst' naar een goed merk is voor ons wel belangrijk. -
