We kennen allemaal wel het gevoel: na een heftige inspanning moeten we vechten om voldoende adem binnen te krijgen. Dát is het moment waarop je pas beseft hoeveel inspanning je hebt geleverd! Deze naam is hieraan gekoppeld: het is een 'gevecht' in de zin dat het een competitie is, maar uiteindelijk is het ook een gevecht om voldoende adem (lucht) te vinden om door te gaan en te winnen.
